What is right for your WEDDING RECEPTION?
IPOD , DJ , or BAND
1. IPOD Well, the one advantage to using an IPOD is you can use it for FREE! This idea is usually appropriate for a smaller or more casual wedding, or if you are on a really tight budget.
WHEN TO BOOK Start loading songs about three weeks before.
PROS You have complete control with minimal setup.
CONS There is no musical expert to help guide the evening.
2. BAND A BAND can really make a Wedding Reception ROCK ! It can also put a big dent in your Wedding Budget. But, if you have the money it's definitely worth it.
WHEN TO BOOK Three to Six Months in advance.(Once you've book your venue).
PROS You will have a trained emcee, they will encourage guest participation, and your Wedding Reception "Vibe" will be exciting.
CONS Sometimes covers don't sound anything like the originals. If the room is too small a band can be overwhelming. They may also have a limited playlist.
3. DJHiring a DJ for a midsize Wedding (75 to 150 guests) is usually the best idea.
WHEN TO BOOK Three to Six Months in advance.
PROS DJ 's know how to get the crowd up and moving.
CONS Sometimes song selections can be a bit too niche, might make some older guests a little alienated.
