What is right for your WEDDING RECEPTION? 

1.  IPOD
 Well, the one advantage to using an IPOD is you can use it for FREE! This idea is usually appropriate for a smaller or more casual wedding, or if you are on a really tight budget.
WHEN TO BOOK Start loading songs about three weeks before. 
PROS You have complete control with minimal setup.
CONS There is no musical expert to help guide the evening.

2. BAND
 A BAND can really make a Wedding Reception ROCK !  It can also put a big dent in your Wedding Budget.  But, if you have the money it's definitely worth it.
WHEN TO BOOK Three to Six Months in advance.(Once you've book your venue).
PROS  You will have a trained emcee, they will encourage guest participation, and your Wedding Reception "Vibe" will be exciting.
CONS Sometimes covers don't sound anything like the originals. If the room is too small a band can be overwhelming. They may also have a limited playlist.

3. DJ
Hiring a DJ for a midsize Wedding (75 to 150 guests) is usually the best idea.
WHEN TO BOOK Three to Six Months in advance.
PROS DJ 's know how to get the crowd up and moving. 
CONS Sometimes song selections can be a bit too niche, might make some older guests a little alienated.

Today's brides have a lot on their minds. Get the ring, set the date, schedule an injection. 

WHAT?

Schedule an injection? Yes, you read it correctly. 

For many of the brides we asked (89 out of 100) intend to have some kind of "liquid face lift" procedure done before their weddings. We found out that treatments such as Botox, and fillers, as well as laser treatments are becoming the "norm" for today's brides.  All brides are beautiful, but if you feel you want to take care of something that maybe bothers you, by all means, go for it!

There are a few things to consider before undergoing these treatments.

• Think to yourself....do I really want this procedure or do I feel pressured by the media, my friends or family? Don't feel you have to get anything done just to please someone else, or because "everyone is doing it." What does your fiancee' think?

• Once you have weighed out the decision and decide having a little something done is right for you, ask yourself does it work in your budget? Some brides make the mistake on counting on their wedding gifts (a.k.a. the money envelopes) to offset the cost of their procedures, only to be disappointed when after the wedding they realize they didn't receive as much cash as they were hoping.  Who wants to start their marriage off with a debt?

•   Do your homework, research your doctor, ask questions, a lot of questions! Get referrals. Ask friends, family, co-workers, girls at your gym, your coffee shop, it doesn't matter where, just ask, and ask again!

• And finally, give yourself enough time before the wedding date to recoup.  Some procedures take weeks even months to look "natural." No one wants to look too puffy, or swollen or red.

A lot of our Brides find that picking their wedding colors sometimes is one of the hardest decisions they have when planning their weddings.  Below we've chosen a few questions our Brides have asked us that we would like to share.  We hope this is helpful if you are struggling with Wedding Color Blues.

***I really like the Red and Blue palettes together. How can I use them for my wedding without looking too "4th of July?"

***We suggest white table linens with blue glassware.  Or perhaps having your wedding programs and favors white with a red ribbon. If you keep the red and blue a little separate from each other it is a little softer on the eye.  Another way is to incorporate different shades of each color. It will give your wedding a nice modern twist.

***Our Wedding is in the Spring, but my Heart is set on Fall colors, HELP is it O.K. to  use dark colors in the Spring?

***YES, ABSOLUTELY!  The deep rich tones of FALL offer a sense of elegance and warmth.  Today's Brides know there are NO RULES...isn't that right girls?   If your bouquet is all deep russet calla lilies, a few accents of soft apricot are stunning.  Or if your bridal bouquet is plum it would look "gorg" with a few springs of lilac!
